Legend of Zelda. The closest thing to gaming perfection ever created.
Seconded the nomination for Zelda

If 2 games can count as a series, then the Halos. Nothing is as addicting as 8v8 games every night on the dorm building LAN. It's like crack. Plus a good storyling in SP.

I can throw in Warcraft, as WC3 = uber pwn.

Also, both Half Life games were rated the best game of all time.

Why are we nominating? Are we going to have a vote? Perhaps break down the games into categories and vote on them. Then take the winners and vote on that. Or just randomly divide them up into pairs and have a bracket voting system. Or... just doing it for shits and giggles?

I'm going to use the answers to this thread to form a poll which hopefully will get a sticky or something and we can find out what people think is the best game series of all time.
And yes, Halo would be a series. It doesn't have to be a long list of games for it to be a series, they just have to be related(for example, the Halo series is just as much a series as Final Fantasy.)

Anyhow, not to hijack your idea, but I made a thread looking for categorical game nominations. http://zelaron.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36053

Sounds like too much trouble, since games can be multi-consoled and multi-genred.

I'm going to make one big poll to start with where you can pick say 5 different series, then take the higher ones there and make a new poll where you can pick 3 different series, etc.

But I'm not doing series...es. Just games. Huge difference. Plus, it's not really that much trouble if people are into it. Gamespy did one a while ago, and it was awesome. Of course, they had a hell of a lot more participation than we're going to have.

Quoting yourself and saying ladadadablahblah isn't much of a point...

I don't really see how it's that complicated. I've actually detailed how it would work in that thread.
