Presidential Support

Ok, this thread has been made if you have some information or want to discredit info that has been posted here for the election up coming. Instead of just having 100 other threads about this topic. Just don't spam or say useless stuff like Bush is so much better than Kerry unless you have some info.

Just to get started people blame Bush for the bad economy that we currently have, which in not correct. At the end of the Clinton Era; we were entering a depression, and Sept 11 set us back even more econmically then most people realize. Bush has done a good job at getting this country back on the right track, but since the Republicans do not have an overwhelming control of Congress he is having a difficult time doing so.

Last I checked, the Republicans owned Congress, but that was about the time Bush got elected...

What exactly do people see in Kerry BESIDES the war? And also, people have said at school that he was gay with edwards(no offense to gays or kerry voters), is that true?

It's been said before, I'll say it again. Get some viable evidence to back up your claims, otherwise your words are about pointless.

It doesnt really matter much cause in the long run, China will rule the world. First economically and after that they will have enough money to build the most advanced/largest army ever so they can take over the world.

I hate the elections as they are in America...

Does he have a sexier ass or something? Is that why you won't tell us why you like him better?

Seriously, give us a fucking reason instead of spouting off random, "OMGZ0R! BUSH PWNZ J00" statements, fucktard.

I wonder why they don't give us actual reasons why they should be elected in their campaign(sp) ads.

They just seem to bash eachother... no one really cares what they did before now.
(or shouldn't anyway)

As long as they have a strong plan, but I have no idea what either is going to do... so I can't really decided.

I think EVERYONE HERE needs to watch the debate. I think Kerry vs. Bush will be pretty lame. But Edwards and Cheney should be better, we all know both of them will probably be running the country. Edwards who was an attourney is probably used to arguing, and maybe he'll get Cheney stumped up and stumbling over himself and he'll have a heart attack.

Watch the Presidental Debate, it should be your final decision on who you support, because if you go by what they say on TV, anybody can win an election.

Actaully watching Edwards vs Cheney would be a way better debate. I think that Cheney is well rounded (no pun intended) and has similar views of Bush. But Edwards is way better than Kerry. He would be able to make a better speech and have more people listen than Kerry prolly.

To answere volls reply aswell, the republicans gain control of congress in 1994.

The way I see it, people that are against Kerry because of KerryÂ’s incompetence and incoherent manner of handling everything (especially his presidential campaign)

First off the flip flopping.
Beside voting for war and but against funding itÂ…

Last month, Kerry said that even if he’d known that no weapons of mass destruction would be found in Iraq, he still would have voted to let Bush capture Saddam. Apparently, although he was in favor of giving Bush the power to attack Saddam he didn’t want him to “use” it.
Kerry says Iraq was “the wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time” though he also says it was right to hold Saddam accountable and the world is better without him.
Now Kerry says America should draw the distinction between the authority to use force and actually using it. He says Bush “went to war without a plan to win the peace.” But he voted for Operation Iraqi freedom. And a few weeks ago he said that he would do it again…
This proves that he canÂ’t make a decision and stick with it.

Secondly Kerry doesnÂ’t know whatÂ’s important in America as well as his campaign.
Kerry spoke about Vietnam instead of unemployment, Iraq instead of taxes, and 9/11 instead of healthcare.

And the worst mistake of all might have been his argument during the thousandth American death in Iraq.
Kerry complained that the main problem which they have been making sacrifices is too expensive. He complained “The $200 billion that we’re not investing in education, health care, and job creation here at home.”
He said “$200 billion for Iraq, but they tell us we can’t afford after school programs for our children.” “$200 billion for Iraq, but they tell us we can’t afford health care for our veterans.”
If Kerry wants to argue that we shouldnÂ’t have gone to war for what ever reason, he may choose the failure to find the WMDÂ’s, the difficulties after the end of the major combat operations, the recruitment of more terrorists, and the tragic death toll-fine. But he doesnÂ’t and because his effort to have it every which way as he somehow made it into his partyÂ’s nomination has caused him to take eight different positions on the war so far. Through KerryÂ’s argument, he is trying to attack Bush from the right but he canÂ’t due to the depressing results of the Democratic national convention. The democratic base is getting impatient and Kerry might even lose their votes if he gets on their bad side.

John Kerry is trying to please everyone all the time and it is obviously not working out.

There are 2 points to the war. For it, or against it. Kerry is against it, he hasn't taken '8 different sides on it'.

Most democrats support Kerry because he disagrees with the war, get your story straight.

No your wrong. He was for the war, and then against it when the funding for the troops. Then he was for it when he said he would have supported it if he knew that we would capture Sadam. Now he is against it again. Also I don't think that most democrats support him, he is extremly liberal, which should deter some of the moderate liberals. Where as president Bush is a moderate Conservate.

yea as was stated in my post... anyway the democratic base is impatient right now and if kerry messes it up.. they'll even vote nader watch it happen

joe had a good point.. the crowd pleasing clintons left the white house just in time as the economy was ready to weaken. Many financial analyists predicted it to happen and surely it did..
