Abandonware Forum

i don't know if you guys support it but i think zelaron should get an abandonware forum i guarantee you'll have more members talkin about abandonware sites and the good old days of gaming and giving advice on how to get old games to work. warning and you should read this before you consider my idea altough not illegal per say some people consider it should be oops sorry wrong forum i didn't know there was a forum disscussion forum if you don't mind move it please

oh sorry abandonware are games that have been abandoned by their creators hence no longer theirs and free to distribute hence abandonware its a big issue if it should be legal or not

Well if it is illegal ATM but could be legal down the road, this idea will never fly, and should be deleted ASAP. Let me know what the actual legal status on it right now is, thanks.

the problem isn't with the subject itself but with the members. if for example some asshole puts up a link to a game classified as warez(games that are still sold) then you might get some heat from idsa(game company watchdogs). of course this can be controlled. if you do create an abandonware forum ill create an abandonware blacklist(games people think are abandonware which aren't) and make sure its constantly updated. and of course its moderator will have to make sure threads\posts with warez links are deleted

There is a Request forum for threads like this, if you wish to have a forum and the content is legal post a poll in the request section.

It's not an idea, it's the proper process it has to go through. Unless people just cuss at you telling you to make a Lineage2 forum, lol.

Abandonware is games before 1997. Most of them suck, but theres a few awesome ones. I don't entirely know how legal they are, but they are still awesome.
