Fire Sorc SKill Allocation Help

Alright, I have 9 Skill Points left on my Ladder Fire Sorc, and have yet to do Hell Den of Evil or Radament.

I maxed Fire Mastery, Meteor, Fire Ball, and Fire Bolt. I only have 1 into Inferno, which is the last, but least effective synergy for Meteor (3% Increase). I have 1 in Static and Teleport of course, but nothing in the Cold branch.

Where should I put the last of my Skills? Should I get a Cold Armor? Should I get Frozen Orb to slow down them puppies I can't kill with Fire? A little help would be appreciated.

I always like the Shiver Armor. When you go teleing through WSK2 for Baal runs, it is really nice to have any group of monsters that you "accidentally" teleport into instantly frozen when they attack you. It really makes up for any lack of FHR that your sorc might have.

Hmm, I like that idea. Especially, since I am usually the one that teleports on Baal runs...

you can put some in warmth also and yes put 1 in shiver at least

you only need 1 in warmth. Let the + to skills raise it. I haeard also that synergies stop at lvl 20. after that there is no bonus add. Depends on how much dmg your meteor does, id say the cold armor. (your choice on that one)

well if there is nothing else to add then you can still add in warmth and raise it.....

well if its for botting then u shouldnt need warmth much and if for baal just to tele so the armor...and for dueling i recommend ICE sorc lol but i guess u still shouldnt need much regen if u got good gear itll be fast enuff

Fuck, I really wish I knew that synergies only work up to level 20... Is that definitely true? I wouldn't have boosted up Fire Bolt if that was the case...

I always thought you didn't get any synergy bonus from +skills.... If you do actually get it, but it only works until 20....

I've never even thought about that... If you have +14 skills (2 helm , 2 armor , 3 weapon, 1 shield with facet, 2 rings, 2 ammy, 1 belt, 1 charm) you could have an effective cold/fire sorc.

6 firebolt, 6 inferno, 12 fireball, 20 meteor, 20 fire mastery, 6 ice bolt, 6 ice blast, 6 glacial spike, 20 blizzard, 1 cold mastery, 1 shiver armor, 1 teleport, 1 static, 1 warmth, 1 frost nova, 1 frozen armor, 1 telekenesis, 1 blaze, 1 fire wall.

That gives you max meteor, fire mastery, and blizzard (and a good pool of points into fireball as a quick backup skill) as well as 20 on all their synergies.

You'll have level 34 blizzard, meteor, and fire mastery as well as +10 to whichever tree you want from grand charms. I'd reccomend fire because you'd get 44 meteor/fire mastery instead of just the one cold skill.

Also, there's room for 3 facets of your choice (helm, armor, and shield). That gives you either level 44 fire mastery and meteor with 15% fire ed, -15% res, and max synergies or level 44 blizzard with 15% cold ed, -15%res (in addition to the lvl 25 cold mastery), and max synergies.

That's for a dual tree sorc.... For some reason I'm thinking you don't get bonuses from synergies at all.

They should work up past 20. Just a rumor.

They only synergize off base skill points not + skills. If you did the calculations of + skills you could get 40k+ Fire Balls and 25k Hammers.

Depending on your sorc scenerio, it would be a good idea to go into Energy Shield and Tlekenesis if your for PvP. If your a baaling/MF Sorc then put into your armor. Putting a few points into Cold would be very useless sincei t takes like 6 skills to get to Frozen Orb and even at the high lvl of like 45 Frozen orb only does about 1,300 damage iwth its synergy and if you have no high Cold Mastery it wont do fucking shit vs Baal games. Why waste your skill points when your in a party and there will always be something dealing with cold in a baal run.

Alright, I'm basically done leveling her anyway, I'm just gonna MF with her now, so I'll invest in Shiver Armor. Thanks for the idea.

Now, just so I get this straight. If I have +10 skills from my gear, and I have 10 point allocated into a synergy, I will actually only get the bonus from the 10 base points, even though my point total says 20, correct? And I will continue to get synergy bonuses until I max out that synergy, but it will only be considered 20, even though it says 30? Just want to make sure I am perfectly clear.

another option is ES if u have the mana pool to support it, and shiver armor is LOL if ur doing PvM frozen armor is better, siince ur doing MF stuff u might wanna consider getting orb/blizz with a couple points into CM

Well, I'm currently an 88, so I don't think Blizz/Orb is exactly viable.. I am actually thinking about making one of those, since they are better, from what I hear. Oh well..

It depends on what you're doing really.

I'm mostly sure that you only get synergies from the base of your skills.
