I always thought you didn't get any synergy bonus from +skills.... If you do actually get it, but it only works until 20....

I've never even thought about that... If you have +14 skills (2 helm , 2 armor , 3 weapon, 1 shield with facet, 2 rings, 2 ammy, 1 belt, 1 charm) you could have an effective cold/fire sorc.

6 firebolt, 6 inferno, 12 fireball, 20 meteor, 20 fire mastery, 6 ice bolt, 6 ice blast, 6 glacial spike, 20 blizzard, 1 cold mastery, 1 shiver armor, 1 teleport, 1 static, 1 warmth, 1 frost nova, 1 frozen armor, 1 telekenesis, 1 blaze, 1 fire wall.

That gives you max meteor, fire mastery, and blizzard (and a good pool of points into fireball as a quick backup skill) as well as 20 on all their synergies.

You'll have level 34 blizzard, meteor, and fire mastery as well as +10 to whichever tree you want from grand charms. I'd reccomend fire because you'd get 44 meteor/fire mastery instead of just the one cold skill.

Also, there's room for 3 facets of your choice (helm, armor, and shield). That gives you either level 44 fire mastery and meteor with 15% fire ed, -15% res, and max synergies or level 44 blizzard with 15% cold ed, -15%res (in addition to the lvl 25 cold mastery), and max synergies.

That's for a dual tree sorc.... For some reason I'm thinking you don't get bonuses from synergies at all.
