I have two computers. I bought Diablo II + LOD two times, so now I have two sets of CD's and Two sets of CD Keys. The game WILL let me get on two *different* characters that are on the *same account*, and I can join the same game with both of them.
I was just wondering if Blizzard will ban you for being on same account in same game at same time or if your allowed to do this ???
You should be able to.. It lets you.. but just wondering. I want to rush myself ect without having to start a new account.
Thanks for all the repies everyone. I was just wondering because most of the time it'd let me but then it would say "Server down" on both comps .. But looks like I just have to join game on one comp then get on second after im already in a game.
Back when I played I shared an account with a friend. We were almost always in the same game, and nobody ever said anything, so I think you should be fine.
Yes you can, MightyJoe. I forget how but I know I use to do it .. I know it had to do with D2Loader.. And I remember it being a pain to set up. Does anyone else remembers how to do this?
It requires D2Loader and Onlyer's CD-Key Refiller utility. There are instructions in the D2Loader Readme, I believe. If not, the CD-Key refiller should have a Readme.
Don't remember where to get it.. MAYBE hellmonkeys site? (not sure if it still exists havent checked in a long time) but i believe it lets u replace ur current CD key with another one
But would i need to have the games installed on two different partitions or could i run off the same diablo2lod.exe with different cds. I am not sure what the loading program is called, i think it is diablo2lod.exe
When I did it I just coppied my D2 folder into another folder(meaning I had the game in two different folders) then I used the CDkey refiller(or edited registry) to change one of the client's CDkeys, put shortcuts for both of them on the desktop, made them both run in window mode. Tada.
