pretty much? you can, and they are all over so the game is too easy and not much of a challenge if you do it that way.
and i like the racoon suit because you can turn to stone and such.

or is that the racoon suit? if not change it to whichever the racoon suit one is

Tanooki suit, hands down.

Hey Rabber, I picked it up yesterday, and it's fucking incredible. The only thing about it that really hacks me off is that the camera system is slightly buggy. Other than that, it's badass.

Why is everybody under the impression that all you do is clean shit up in this game?

Did you play Mario 64? Did you enjoy it? Well, then you'll love Mario Sunshine. It's basically the second "evolutionary phase" of Mario 64. The controls, levels, and basic feel of the game is almost identical to Mario 64. The two HUGE differences in the game are that Mario's main method of attack is the water pack (no punches, no kicks) and that there aren't any arctic/lava/desert/forest levels in the game. All of the levels have a real tropical feel to them, but they are all BEAUTIFULLY designed. You still kill baddies, and you still fight HUGE bosses, you just do it with the water cannon instead of your fists.

How is the shoe not an item, but the "Hammer Mario" is?

The only difference is that you can't get it in your inventory.
