I seem to remember watching a video of the same fella, except after he had had surgery - they removed some growths that were massive (size of watermelons and what not), and he ended up looking not that bad, apart from flaps of skin reaching down to his waist and what not.

I can't remember if they were just random growths or tumours, though.
