Yesterday was my 18th birthday as some of you know and I got the privelege of spending a couple of hours in the hospital. Here's the story:

Upon turning 18, I went to get my other ear pierced (once you're 18, you don't need parent approval). After getting back I took out the stud that you're supposed to leave in for like 6 weeks and I tried to put another earring in so it would match my left ear. I couldn't quite get it, so I asked my mom if she could help. Well, my mom is trying to get the earring in and I start to get light-headed. The last thing I remember is thinking, "I hope I don't pass out.."

Sure enough, I pass out. I don't fucking remember anything until I wake up. I fell face first onto a hardwood kitchen floor. Result? Three teeth are chipped, I have a nice gash on my forehead, my neck is stiff and very, very painful, and I wasted $13 to get my right ear pierced because the hole filled up.

Happy 18th birthday!

Well.. that sucks. But it's not the -worst- thing that could have happened! You could have also broken your earring!

Sounds like you didn't have a good day. Any reason as to why you got lightheaded?

I have no idea. It was probably because of the earring being forced through my ear...

Isn't the earring the same size as the needle that pierced your ear?
