Cool things

i just want to hear from people that had some cool things happen to then in the game or have any ideas about the game.


hate the plasma pistol & battle rifle combo

Me and a friend discovered a trick one of the first days the game was out, but I'm not a member so you probably don't care.

In case you are wondering the trick, what you do(we did it on coagulation)is make a sword match, one person get in a warthog one person get in a ghost, meet on one side of the level, one person gets in passenger seat of warthog, other person gets close enough for the passenger to lunge, but the passenger should stay in the warthog, other player goes to other side of the level, passenger gets out of the warthog while still holding the button, jumps across the whole level and slices the other person.

Also, you can get a sniper rifle/sword, zoom with the sniper, get the reticle to be red, switch weapons really fast and lunge from far away.

that sound sweet ... almost like the rocket/sword glitch

I also got the scarab gun this weekend, took forever to get it and it was really annoying getting it but it was pretty sweet.

I think the high flying glitch is cool. Even better when your in a ghost. But old.

Well the first glitch I mentioned I found with a friend, nobody told us the glitch, we found it on our own.

A friend of mine found the 2nd one.

Scarab gun is something you'll have to look up on gamefaqs.com or something because it's too hard to explain how to get it. Basically, it's the same gun that the big ass spider on metropolis has, and it has infinite ammo.

WOW. Never knew there were so many tricks and hidden things in the game. Especially one 1 player. Cool. I always appreciate game developers that put in little extras. Like on Perfect Dark, the cheese pieces. Easter eggs that is I suppose.

if you find the secret skulls on campaign there are some pretty neat things that happen. you'd have to look them up somewhere to cuz they are all fairly hard to get and it must be in legendary which is pretty hard in itself.

Umm, so I got the banshee past the tunnel and I'm currently looking around on top of the "bridge structure" but I can't seem to find the danger cones or the gun for that matter, little help?

What happens w/ the skulls, I heard the mostly just kill you and stuff. But if you find them all thier might be a super legendary mode or somthing.

You follow that guy, I can't remember his name.

The skulls all do different things, for example "Sputnik" lowers gravity a lot and makes it where things go flying when you smack them or blow them up. "Blind" makes it where you can't see anything on your screen, like your gun and health and stuff, the screen is completely blank except for seeing what is in front of you. "Grunt Birthday Suprise" makes it where if you shoot someone in the head they blow up like a plasma grenade.

You'll have to look them up, they are pretty cool.

So I got the first one. Umm after you get it the effects of the skull stay w/ you throughout the game, or you have to have the skull in your possesion

how can i turn it off? different profile? cause the blind skull sucks.

You have to turn off your machine to disable them as far as I know.

I've been looking around the net more about bungie.net and halo/H2, and now I'm thuroughly frustrated! Damn them and thier infinite number of tricks, and secrets...Gaming wizards they are. In order to figure out what all the skulls do, where all the skulls are, ect, you have to first figure out thier ridiculus acnroyms! Which only a few inconsiquential ones have been figure out so far! I think we need to put our skills to the test here people and start unsolving some of these damn mysteries. Also the stategy guide has a key of sorts to a certain kind of codes...related to bungie.net . GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!

A database thread of all usefull information would be the best way to go about it. ex: all the acronyms, the meanings of the ones we have, the skulls locations...what they do, thier names. you know everything related to bungie. The fact that they have an obsession w/ the number 7. just random stuff.

I don't undertand how anyone can beat the game on legendary, its incredibly mind blowingly hard. It's harder than multiplayer, atleast I can kill people online! I can't even take on more than 3 grunts on legendary! Any advice? Does anyone know where I can get watch some videos of people playing on legendary? I don't think it can be done... 1. You can NOT avoid being hit, unless you have cover...and as soon as you come out from the cover, your hit! In 3 or four shots your dead. Snipers kill you in 1/2...I can barlely kill a broot 1v1 just the fact that I can hold 2 weapons and shoot faster than him..

Hell, it isn't THAT hard. I'll admit, legendary on halo 2 compared to halo is insane, but it isn't that hard. I have not beaten it myself, and the last boss is a BITCH on legendary(if you don't know the trick to killing him), but it isn't so hard that you can't beat 3 grunts(unless they are using needlers which is a bitch and sometimes can get you killed.)

Just be sneaky and don't try to be rambo. Legendary is all about taking them out one at a time and being slow/sneaky.

Well, maybe it isn't that hard but I just happened to start playing it on Gravemind and they all have needlers, and there is almost no cover, plus the freaking brutes. That level is haard.

Well I'm an average player and I got Grunt's B-day Party skull fairly easily.
