For homework today, my psychology teacher had us read this quote and then bring in an essay about it.. its very late and im going to bed. can anyone help me out? Please.
"The mind is like an iceberg, it floats with one-seventh of its bulk above water"(S.Freud)
Basically, it means people may be extremely intelligent, but you wouldn't be able to tell because they don't act that way. That's my interpretation anyway.
Or it may be that people only use about 10% of their brain capacity. Or it may be a seventh of their brain caoacity. Don't hurt me if I'm wrong, 's just a wild guess.
Got an idea for your essay: Write about the different interpretations of the quote and the pyschological references of each interpretation.
