Whats Wrong With Whites?

The Washington Post is reporting that the National Council of La Raza (a hispanic organization) and various African Americans are complaining that John Kerry's campaign is too white. This is, of course, a crime. I mean, when too many whites get together trouble could ensue. Mind you, we don't have a National Association for the Advancement of White People, unless you count the KKK, which has really been behind the NAACP in public opinion, anyway. Nor do we have White Entertainment Television. But, as soon as a group of whites--not necessary racists whites--gets togehter for a purpose not really related to race, it's negative media coverage for all involved. Because, as you know, if there really is a white majority, then it's unlikely that a fairly small group of people with highly specialized skills might be, coincidentally, all white. These things pis me off.

Either way, it's amusing to read. "Too white." What do they want John Kerry to do, start wearing giant platinum chains and throwing gang signs in the air? I don't expect Al Sharpton to start listening to Jim Croce and watching televised golf. Why does La Raza expect John Kerry to conform to their standards? Is he supposed to work around their schedule instead of the people that are most likely going to actually vote for him?

I'm not a racist in the slightest, but I absolutely cannot stand racial equality groups. The 60's ended in the 60's, Civil Rights have been fought for and won. Continuing to impose your will on the white majority only serves to divide races even further. It just breeds more contempt and more irrational anger. We understand you're black and proud, that's fantastic. Can I have the month of February back now?

One way or another, there is one specific group that truly deserves a month dedicated to their heritage. Native Americans. Why should the month of February be delegated to black people? We didn't invade africa, steal the continent and demolish African culture. We destroyed every facet of Native American culture that we could get our hands on. They have no "homeland" to return to, and only scraps of their heritage left to revere. White America has made Native Americans into a novelty, a cute stereotype while forcing the remaining numbers of their population into foul, squalid reservation lands. There's not a race of people on this planet that deserves a month dedicated to their heritage more than the Native Americans. Black History Month is unnecessary, because you at least have a motherland to return to.

I was joking when I said no. I don't exactly believe in it, but I'm not going to object to it either. One could argue about Africa being practically robbed naked of human, and natural resources, but that's another topic. Black History Month is just there. If it were removed, there would be no objection from me, although other African-Americans might not take it the right way. In my opinion, they're trying to fight a war which should have ended 20-30 years ago.

Yeah I agree with switching it to Native American month. I learn about black history all the time, thats why on black history month we don't learn anything more, ever the black teachers are like this.

What I find funny too is every though we have black history month, why don't we learn about how the whites didn't just go into Africa for slaves for no reason. They were buying them from the black leaders of Africa, yeah some stole. They were betrayed by your own people and put all the blame on us because they haven't learned all of it.

Not exactly, at least according to my research. There might have been some cases where tribial leaders sold slaves, but I highly doubt that there was a substantial amount of slaves shipped because they were sold by their tribes.

I think the premise that a campaign follows any one race is an idiotic notion. I like how these people think they speak for all people of their race. I know a number of black people are insulted that groups for the "advancements" of blacks push things like BET and rap as their "culture". What makes it pertain to any one select color of people? I thought we were all one race...you know, human. Or so as they told. Groups like that sure like their double standards.

Another thing I see is that when they are racist towards whites, or whatever other race, they somehow justify by going to the argument "Whites opressed us in the past". Yeah, and nobody would hire Irish people a century and a half ago but you don't see me complaining that my people are "stereotyped" and therefore disadvantaged. Give me a fucking break.

It wasn't tribal leaders, it was African Leaders. The leaders also had blacks help capture the other blacks, as we all know some blacks did help.

I agree, both Irish and Scottish had it really bad back in the days, if it wasn't black slaves im sure they were next in line. I am Irish, Scottish, and Native American and I hate what the "white" people did to my ancestors but I dont hate or use that against the whites these days because they have done nothing.

I agree that BET and Black History month, or anything for blacks only just increases racism on the whites side. We all do know white people can't do anything "white" only stuff.

Me living in a well mixed area, Florida. I see lots of different races here, and the most racist are blacks. Black people always talk about white people, im sorry but I wont say anything about another race unless its for joke(not meaning it), or its about how they are so racist to us. I have talked to so many people about this, people who are best-friends with blacks, blacks, and other races. They agree with me, I know many blacks will admit they are the most racist.

Hmmm, lets see. Black history month is the story of slavery. Thats their only history, the slavery that went on back in the day. But why should we dedicate a month every year to tell it, and give black people the spotlight? Fuck that, they don't deserve shit, we gave them freedom, now they want more? Hell no. We should have more months with different enthicity, but we don't have anything to give back to any other cultures, I'm guessing we felt bad and decided to give them that month.

Yes, and howcome Whites don't have WET (White Entertainment Channel) Because the second it is created there would be 'outraged' african americans, politicians, public speakers, just so many people who would find something wrong with it because it was 'white only'. I live in Florida too, acer. And there are tons of cultures. Hispanics, whites, asians, blacks. And from what I've seen, the majority of the Racists are Black. Because when a White person is black they are targeted by the whole black community, therefore they won't say anything.

But when a black person is racist towards a white person, its funny. Nobody gives a shit, everyone just lets it slide. But even worse than that, if a white does retaliate, the NAACP would be on their ass in a second complaining about how they've brought down the black man for years and years.

Yeah I agree, I get a long with all races, but I just can't hang with black people without wanting to kick their ass for white remarks. I honestly wouldn't care if they cracked on whites if I was about to make a black joke without having to worry about getting jumped(blacks won't fight 1 on 1, its annoying).

If you are black im not trying to diss you, I am just pointing out factors I don't like. Yeah there are many things I don't like about all races including whites, but this isn't the thred for it.
