Has anyone ever read the book '1984' by Gorge Orwell? Someone from work told me that it was a really good book. Thinking about buying it. She told me that it was about machines taking over the world -shugs-

It matters not whether you win or lose; what matters is whether I win or lose.

It's not about machines taking over the world... it's about a future society where there is pretty much no privacy and "Big Brother is watching"... pretty good book. You can pick it up at a used books place for about 50 cents.

Damn... book piracy, the lazy man's library is the internet. I have like $500 credit at the used book store so I get my books, games, and movies for free. Yay me!

It's a very interesting book, which actually seems like it would the the next-step in Despotic Communism.

I read most of it, but it was very dry. When I say very dry, I mean I've read The Lord of the Rings series and managed to make it through that.

Beyond that, it was a very good book.

Can't they make a book with a good future for the human race?

Despotic communism.... The thing all americans fear. So weak are we. Despotic communism is the only kind that can control the masses. As long as the despot isn't like Stalin.

Actually, before I read the book, I saw a Johny Bravo rip-off episode of it. It was funny! lol
