Inscription

I asked about this in an earlier post but nobody answered. Raistlin, does inscribe need to have eval med or magery to be as effective? If I have GM inscribe will RA and MR be able to take the same amount of damage before dropping as with GM med mage eval and scribe? Just wondering... Also, is " I am a gimp " a name violation? I wasn't sure... =[
