New Online Chat program!

There is a new chat program out.

Skype is the next phenomenon from the people who brought you KaZaA. Just like KaZaA, Skype uses P2P (peer-to-peer) technology to connect you to other users – not to share files this time, but to talk for free with your friends.

Its a great program. So far, i know that Chruser, mantralord, and i have it. Go get it and give us a ring sometime.

do you need to have your computer conencted to the phone line? and u need mic?

You need a mic and an internet connection, that is all. You can still connect if you do not have a mic, but you just cant talk (obviously)

Well, unlike Kazaa, this doesn't come with any "free and great deals and spyware". It works exceptionally well, almost too well actually. I had a better-than-phone quality conversation with Sov, and he's on 56k plus that he's in the US and I'm in Sweden. Oh, and of course, the fact that it's free makes it even better. Just add my user (Zelaron) if you need someone to talk to. :P

Can you talk with more than one person at a time? will it work like rogerwilco, battlecom etc but better?

Its just like AIM, only with mic talking instead.

Can many people be talkign at same time? liek if i was playing a game with ym clan could they all be on same convo?

I recently installed a new hard drive. It is the only hard drive I have in my computer. I am using on-board sound (Leadtek nForce2). My speakers work fine, and they always have.

My microphone worked before I got the new hard drive, but it does not work now. There may be a short in the actual microphone, but I'm not sure. If it is not the microphone, what do I need to do?

So, no problems? Hmm... I will wait a little longer and see what posts come up before I download it and you can all hear my pathetic little annoying voice.
