My younger brother just got a half-sleeve on his bicep, and he's a pussy, so I'd imagine that it can't hurt too much. And he did the entire thing in one sitting, color and all.
The least painful would be somewhere your skin is thick, on your forearm would be more painfull than your shoulder.
I have my initials in Old English on my lower left leg, and some dark red and blue tribal on my lower right leg, it was tolerable untill it got down to my ankle bones then it started to hurt.

[advice]Don't get something published in flash magazines or websites, get a friend to design something, or even design a piece yourself, if you get a piece from a site or a flash book and see it on someone, somewhere it will make you feel bad about it, atleast in my opinion original ink is better than something 'pre-fab'[/advice]

I'm actually thinking about getting a power button tattooed on the back of my neck... year and a half before I can legally do it, though... that being true, there's this chalky at my school who has a tattoo and is obviously not 18.
I use to be a shoe shinner now I sip Aunt Jamima, I go to sleep in Europe and wake back up in China. CLUB 977 The 80's Channel!!!!! -winamp radio is heaven on earth
girl in my class got a tattoo last year when she was 16 just like that 1 on her lower back. She said that puttng on the tattoo itself didnt really hurt but is really annoying. She had more troubles the days after she got it. She couldnt sit down good and standing up and laying down was also very painfull. She got that pain for about 2 weeks and then it was over. U also have to keep it very clean or it will infect and then its really fucked up.
Maybe u could post a picture when its properly healed ?
