My opinion for best overall MF potential is the barbarian. He has diversity, survivability and he can carry two weps. Not to mention you can double dip with the Find item skill. As for stats and skills just build him like a regular axe/sword/whatever barb. I would put 8 points or so in find item, you want it maxed but you can pump it up with +skill items and warcries, you will especially want two heart carvers for body harvesting (+3 to find item) if you are going to use it a lot.

My second choice would be a javazon, because you can be an effective cow killin machine at around lvl 50, the main limitation is you are pretty much stuck with cowing unless you go semi hybrid with her. The sheer volume of cows you will kill gets you some good drops. Skills max Light Fury! Take evade / dodge to around 8-10 and max guided arrow for tough bosses. I would suggest a fast cruel bow for the back up slot.

I've always liked good ol plain sorcs for mfing.
Good for any mf boss if you can make em right. Cows/Pindleskin (Nova), Meph (Frozen Orb), etc.
You should use Tals armor + Tals Ammy + 15% Tals Belt, Oculus, 2 30% Nagel Rings (Or Occy rings if you arent legit), Chance Gaurds (Around 40% would do the trick), Shako, 40+% War Travs and a shield depending on what boss you're gonna be mfing on:
Mosers Circle (2x Umed / P.Diamond) for Meph/Diablo/Baal, Rhyme for Cows / Pindle (or Mosers for Pindle if hes light enchanted)
You'll also want 900+ life. I would recomend over 1k for Diablo / Baal.
Or 700+ for cows.
Max Warmth for nova if you're gonna use it for pindle / cows / diablo cause it eats up a lot of mana.
If you need any more help feel free to contact me if this helps.

Maybe tonight we'll fly so far away... We'll be lost before the dawn...
