Has the Roman Empire American Government fallen yet?

I find it funny that the Roman empire is the only one you could think of to compare to America. If you adjust for the advances that humans have made since then, we pale in comparison to the Roman empire. Maybe once we take over the world.

We've pretty much been setting up to take on Iran over the past 20 years. We have pretty much got them surrounded. I doubt it will happen, but we are definitely ready to do it if necessary. Taking on Iran will be nothing like Iraq, though. War with Iran is serious fucking war.

Besides China, there's probably not another country that could match our prowess in a traditional war atm. The problem is that there is no traditional war anymore. If we just went to war with Iran to wipe their army off the face of the planet, we would probably lose less people to their weapons than to friendly fire and accidents.

Eastern Libya is no longer under government control. Military forces have supposedly defected and are handing out heavy weapons (mortars, artillery rounds, RPGs, etc.) to protesting civilians. Shit is going to go down.
