I see it as a means of pleasure, but not an alternative or male equivalent to the vagina. As for showering, I shower to get myself clean, so no specific anything. Being circumcised also makes cleaning myself take a few seconds less.

This is actually a great question. There are several things that you -can- do in preparation to make sure you're clean. Some guys will fast a day before (I've tried it, it works) and make sure to use an enema or douche to clean out. The enema and douche are popular tools for getting cleaned out, but a bowel movement will always be a must in order to make sure you can clean out to the fullest extent. But there's other ways, I'm sure. The internet is full of information like that.

You can just go and do it, but it's a good idea to make sure you've at least cleaned yourself out first. I wouldn't just go out and let some guy bang me without making sure I'd cleaned down there first.
