D3v, I've just come to inform you that your post is unnecessarily long. By suggesting that we require 4 posts per day, it is implied that registration would be required as well, since you have to register to post.

I don't really see a need for a new mod either. But I'll be voting against myself as well.
Some says a mod should spark activity and contribute to the forums.. in most cases a member can do pretty much the same as a mod in that respect.
Aside from banning members, viewing IP, moving/editing/closing threads/posts, a member can do pretty much everything a mod does.
If people don't listen to or take actions on your ideas, that's not really going to change just because your modship.

Maybe they should make the spam visible to everyone for a few days so people can see how bad it is. You can't see it because new users' posts are invisible until they're approved.

I don't think there's much of a hole that needs to be filled (Chruser, WW and I are the ones that deal with most of the spam and bots these days, and that's about all there is to do.

I got exactly what you were saying. You're saying "we should require people to register to play in the arcade" and then "we should require 4 posts per day to play in the arcade." What I'm saying is that that is redundant.

And no, we don't require registration to play in the arcade right now, you just have to register to post scores.
