Yeah, it is a bi strange, but it's to make sure you're not completely inept as a person.

My guess is that it's all drug tests and protocol training to make sure you don't violate rules and know what they are. Maybe a physical because that pervy doctor wants to shove his hands where they don't belong. Without even buying you dinner first...
