Why can't we post the addy of that site? Is that technically illegal? If it is, how is that site still up and running?

I'm sure they advertise on comedy central where you can watch episodes, if that's the same one.

The fact that it's still up and running doesn't really mean anything. There are plenty of sites that are up and running that you can't link to, such as warez sites. I'm just going off of what Lenny said, since I've never actually been to the website before.

It's the fact that it's a link to a site that displays copyrighted material. As I told Gruesome - you can PM the address to anyone who asks, it's just the posting of it in the forums that's not allowed. The FAQ says:

You may not direct or link people to places that they can find specific copyrighted materials illegally.

Whilst the site in question may only be an index of episodes, and doesn't contain the contact on the site itself, is does link to the episodes, which are copyrighted material, and they have no license to do so.

It's of the same ilk of torrents sites, in that they link people to torrents. There was a thread a year or so ago in which people posted links to their favourite torrents sites - WW banned all who posted in the thread.

It's perfectly fine to discuss these things, but not link to them in a forum post.

Now that's just unnecessary. Lenny isn't trying to be an asshole or anything, and it isn't that he doesn't want you posting that stuff, it's just that you CAN'T post it. I don't think he's trying to be a stickler with the rules, I think it's more like we don't want Zelaron to be shut down because we have illegal shit here.

It's not like you got banned, the link was just removed. Be glad it isn't WW that's handling it, because as Lenny said, he's been known to ban a whole thread full of people for it.

Or simply, he could ban you for posting it. You have been known in the past for posting links like this.

What's funny though is "You may not direct or link people to places that they can find specific copyrighted materials illegally." could mean that you can't link to google either, because you can easily find copyrighted materials on google. :P
