And the great thing is, with the success the format seems to be having around the globe (95% of Australian hi-def film sales, outselling HD-DVD 2:1 and 3:1 in the US and Japan respectively, accounting for a large majority of European hi-def film sales) not only are the disc prices dropping, but the price of manufacturing the dedicated hardware is dropping.
I got Casino Royal Blu-ray free from Sony after getting my PS3 and I have to say, I can't watch the regular DVD any more, simply because the quality is so bad in comparison. Bring on the times when Blu-ray is the universal format!
