Ah well.

You could use the [sarcasm][/sarcasm] tags? They make everything go bold and yellow.

the movie probably sucks in comparrison to the book, cause books are 239874 times better, but it was apretty good movie.

Films about books are ALWAYS awful, unless the book really is shite, and the film had a director with such vision that, well, theyt can make it good.

Example: LotR. It's a hard slog. Lots of people will hate the books because of that (I couldn't give a rats arse. Books are too good to hate. ), and so like the films more.

---

Jarhead as a book might not be as good as the film, for the fact that films about real life are often very good, whereas books about the same can have very little appeal... to me, anyway.

No-one else find this to be true for them?

I loved The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy movie. May not have been quite as good as the book, but it was still very good.

Is that your favourite book film that you're afraid to see? Or is it something different?

What about books like Pride and Prejudice? It's a great film, but the book is not too good to read - it's a classic though, so you can't expect too much.

Not exactly.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0217319/

It's a film about a lad who has to do an essay about the book, and goes to see J.D. Holden or something.
