Advent Children's supposed to be released in... August? I don't remember...

I don't think a new Mana game would be as good as we think. The playstyle was about all SoM had going for it really. The story was okay, but the style of the game was the what made it fun. I didn't like where LoM took it. Now Sword of Mana was a step in the right direction, but the game itself was far from entertaining.

A new Chrono might be good. Chrono Trigger was spectacular, but I never played Chrono Cross. I heard it wasn't nearly as good. The thing about CT, though, isn't that the playstyle was particularly innovative. The game was great. Great characters, great story, great music, great writing. Great game in general. I don't think tagging Chrono onto a new game and having time travel involved would make it a good game.

I think that if we want good games like those of the past, we need to put more effort into character development and writing instead of just making them pretty.

I enjoyed Chrono Cross, but not nearly as much as I enjoyed Chrono Trigger. It just doesn't have that magic.

I would really like to see some old arcade games one the game cube or even on the GBA. GALAGA rules!!

The game had a lot more than just gameplay. The music was awesome, the graphics were impressive for the time and the story was certainly better than some of the tripe being released today. I personally haven't played a Mana game that I didn't like. Sword of Mana, Secret of Mana and Legend of Mana have all provided a heap of hours of pure entertainment. I welcome a new entry with open arms.

Chrono Cross was a deserving sequel in every sense of the term. People who hate the game hate it simply for the fact that it wasn't Chrono Trigger translated into 3D. Nothing could have lived up to the original for those people, and I realized this before even buying it. I went in with no preconcieved notions of its value, and I came out more pleasantly surprised and more fulfilled than I have with almost any other game in the genre. Measured on its own merits, it's one of the best RPG's I've ever played. A new Chrono would make me unleash my bowels in pure ecstasy.

And I think that if you want to enjoy these new games, people need to stop pining for the golden years. Stop wishing for a reincarnation of Final Fantasy 6, stop holding out for the second advent of Chrono Trigger. Embrace the changes and you'll enjoy the newer stuff a hell of a lot more. Fight change and you'll only be disappointed with everything you play. Videogames do not submit to you. You submit to them.
