I don't think Houston was as deep as Orlando is. On top of Steve, there is Grant Hill (hopefully), Cuttino (granted, he was also in houston), Cato (getting better), Dwight Howard, Stacey Augmon, Tony Battie, Andrew DeClercq, Pat Garrity, and Hidayet Turkoglu. That's one hell of a team. Houston didn't have all of that.
Also, Houston had a winning record just about everytime it missed the playoffs in the past few years. The west was just far too strong. It's more distributed now.
Also, Yao was still maturing, back when Francis played for Houston. Last year we did make the playoffs, and we faced LA in the first round. Another thing was Steve Francis just wasn't being used right by Van Gundy. He's a much better player than what you saw over the past couple of years.
Orlando is going to be crazy. GRANT HILL for the love of god.
