Here's a quick TL;DR version of the above article (very interesting, by the way). I even highlighted (in yellow) the most interesting parts. This is for those of you who look at a big article and go "ow my hed hurts dont post stuf liek that".
I'd recommend doing this in the future, Kagom - nothing wrong with posting links to interesting articles, but there's no need to post the whole thing here. Cut it down to the best parts - remember, a lot of people reading Zelaron have a vocabulary limited to "u giev soj" and "n00b u got kiled".

- Soy is thought to cure random diseases. However, too much can cause a lot of problems, including some of the diseases that soy is supposed to cure. Due to advertising by the soy industries, you don't hear much bad stuff about soy.
- Some people think that Asians eat a lot of soy, but they don't - about 9 to 36 grams per day. A cup of tofu contains about 252 grams. Infants get a HUGE dose of soy in soy formulas, especially given their weight.
- The ancient Chinese used soy mainly to fertilize the soil. Soy wasn't even eaten until around 1134-246 BC when it was made into miso (soybean paste).
- Contrary to popular belief, neither soy milk nor soy infant formula is traditional in Asia. The first person to manufacture soy milk in China was actually an American, and the first soy infant formulas (developed in the 1930s) have never been widely used.
- Soy protein used to go only to animals. Nowadays, it's being marketed to people - by using random artifical processes to try and make it taste good.
- Soy now lurks in nearly 60 percent of the foods sold in supermarkets and natural food stores. Much of this is "hidden" in products where it wouldn't ordinarily be expected, such as fast-food burgers and Bumblebee canned tuna.
- Scientists have discovered a number of components in soy that cause poor growth, digestive distress, and other health problems. Today, the soy industry has switched tactics-from trying to remove these unwanted antinutrients to trying to convince people that they are actually a good thing.
- Soy is one of the top eight allergens that cause immediate hypersensitivity reactions. There's so much soy around that it's a major problem.
- More than 70 years of human, animal, and laboratory studies show that soybeans put the thyroid at risk.
- Although scientists discovered only recently that soy lowers testosterone levels, tofu has traditionally been used in Buddhist monasteries to decrease the libido, and by Japanese women to punish straying husbands.
- Soy formulas can also really screw with puberty. Males get women features, and females enter puberty earlier, which causes problems when they want to have kids later on.
