The banning of GS.

Sovereign had his priviledges from the Flame Forum taken away a month or so ago. He has them back now, and I honestly don't know for how long. Grav did not have to post any such thread outside of the Flame Forum for Sov to see it, he could have simply wrote him a PM with it referenced, saying that was a thread in the FF, just as an FYI, so to say. He blatently broke the rules for no apparent reason other than to instigate a fight with Sov. And he was Banned for 2 weeks, not a month. And the Ban was lengthened because he continually made multiple accounts. Remind you of anyone? *cough* The1 *cough* Get your facts straight.

I assumed that much. I don't even know which threads Grav was banned for, because I didn't get a chance to read them. Regardless of what Grav posted, I know from personal experience that PM's to staff usually doesn't get anything accomplished.

D3V was not Banned because of personal shit he posted about Bob, not initially that is. The key part you are missing is the simple fact that Bob Warned D3V not to post that crap anymore, because he found it highly inappropriate. This was all done via PM. After D3V did it again, he was Temped, for 5 days. Big fucking deal, right? Apparently not. Sovereign posted a picture of Penguin in a thread. There is no rule against that. Instead of going about it the proper way, which Bob did above, and asking Sov not to post it anymore, Penguin simply Edited the post, and made ill threats with no backing. That is where the discrepancy came. Had he been rational in the beginning and not gone on his Editing spree, this would not have been such a problem.

And, Sovereign posted that picture of Penguin multiple times. I don't care how Penguin handled it, the point still should have gotten across that Penguin didn't want Sovereign to post that picture, yet Sovereign continued to do it. From your explanation, I don't see how that is too different from what D3V did, except the fact that D3V was banned.

And what more do you expect if you post shit about your personal life on the forums? Along with the positive comments, ridicule is to be expected. Sarcastic comments are to be expected. Now, personal attacks on people have never been against the rules of Zelaron. I wouldn't even consider some of the stuff he said as an "attack." More like a sarcastic comment. Perfectly acceptible in the chat forum. I don't see how that was deemed inappropriate, except the fact that Bob didn't like that posted there.

Well, be it as it may that Bob didn't like it posted there, that is his perogative. I agree, this is not a problem except for the fact that after Bob PMed him and asked him not to bring it up anymore, D3V did anyway multiple times just to "be a rebel" and see if he could get away with it.

There are a lot of things that aren't against the rules, but when someone asks you, politely, in private, to not post on a certain topic that is sensitive to them, I would certainly hope everyone would at least have the common courtesy to do so.

On the topic of Grav. It is unanimous that what he posted was worthy of at least a few day Temp Ban, but it wasn't until he made multiple accounts and continued posting, which everyone knows is highly against the rules, did he get the 2 weeker. That was my only point.
