Lordling Eliwood (who might actually be Roy from Super Smash Bros. Melee), the axe-wielding brute Hector and the vagabond Lyndis. [/b]
Actually, this Fire Emblem's a prequel and he's Roy's father (not really a spoiler as it's only hinted in the game)

Agreed though, it's an awesome game. I still haven't finished it yet, actually.

Well, I suppose that confirms it for me. You're the second person to tell me that. Has Roy already appeared in one of the Fire Emblem games, then?

By the same token, do you have any idea which game Mars appears in? The same person that told me about the Eliwood/Roy connection is under the impression that Mars is Hector's kid.

I've only played the 2 Fire Emblem on SNES, and they are great games.

I really wish this series had been brought to America when it was originally announced. I first heard about the FE games nearly ten years ago in Nintendo Power, and it's only now shown up in english form.

I'm seeing posts on this being on GBA, and SNES, so I'm just wondering if there is any hint on whether or not a spin-off of this game, or a re-make will ever hit GC? I already have 3 consoles, and I'm not buying any other type gaming apparatus...

From the conclusion of my review:

Fire Emblem is a phenomenal game, and I eagerly anticipate the upcoming Gamecube FE title.
The Gamecube Fire Emblem game will be released in Japan this winter, and numerous American retailers have already listed FE GCN for pre-order as early as December. So, we could see this game in America sometime this winter, possibly as late as the first quarter of next year.
