Just wondering. I am trying to figure out why do some people hate PS2 so much in the mean time, somebody don't.

It's not that I don't like the PS2, it's just a poorly built system. The way they set up the CPU makes it three times as hard to code for the system, and they don't even get that much power out of it. The processor needs to be completely redone.

Yeah, the PSX was originally supposed to be the SNES CD-ROM drive. Nintendo scrapped the project when it was almost finished and sold everything to Sony. Sony had to actually design a very small protion of the comsole, and that's it.

however, memory is the most lacking part of the console IMO. 32mb of ram is the area it differs most from the other consoles, i feel that would make a valuable addition to this poll.
