Help

I just bought Counter-Strike, but the game won't allow me to connect to any servers (from the in-game menu). I looked up some tech support sites and they are telling me I have to download this 116 mb update which would take about 10-20 hours for me. Is there anyway I can play online without downloading the upgrade?

nope u have to download it... im guessing that you have a 56k modem if its going to take u 20 hours

what u could do is get a friend to download it for u (which has a fast internet connection ofcourse) and to give it 2u on CD or something.. i've done it a million times when i used to have dialup
