you know why it looks so good? the character models are that many polygons as they look... quake III used like 4k polygons each model i think and doom III uses like 7k.... the secret is pixel shading and bumpmapping..... get a good video card with nice support for those 2 features and the game will look good on your comp.... make sure you got like 256 ram for the textures and like 1ghz+ proccessor
