Basically, it goes like this.

Connect your XBox directly to your router, and connect your PC[/b] directly[/b] to the router too. Then follow the XBConnect instruction for further detail on how to enter games. It's not too hard. I've used XBConnect quite a few times before I got Xbox Live.

It was determined that my Ethernet cable is the not the right one. I need a crosscable one, and mine is a straight through. WW told me, so I'm figuring I need to purchase that item before anything else can happen.

Like I said before, I am using a Wireless Router, hence my only option is to directly link the XBox and the PC. If I'm wrong, let me know.

Wireless Routers almost always have actual ports, too. Get some Cat 5 and connect one to your xbox.

Ditto, unless your xbox is more than 25 /50 feet from the router. After that it becomes more trouble to run the cable then to find a cross over cable.

Well, that is actually the problem. The Router does have ports, but it is two floors below my room, and I would need a shit load of wire to run it to my XBox. Oh well.

wait, cant you use a C5 crossover at the ends of a 50' cable?

Just a thought, otherwise run a lot of c5 crossover cable and get some links..which cost more than the c5 cable i bought to do the same thing.
