Your lack of PS3/Sony reasoning and information is a joke.
If you actually read some info on the two versions of the PS3 you would know the $499 one is not a joke. Educate yourself before throwing out stupid remarks.

Put it this way, Sony stated that you can attach a ny sized externel USB harddrive of your choice at anytime, plus it is not clear if you can swao the internel hard drive or not yet, so gonna have to wait there.
Now, they also said that you can attach USB memory card readers which run in the very low range of pricing. Oh wait, snap, you can use Component cables and still reach 1080p since the majority of HDtv's that are out do not even include an HDMI input--in other words, HDMI ready tv's are not even gonna really hit the market for a little while, so your not missing out. Of course, also mentioned is that Video companies will have the option of disabiling 1080p via component sometime in the future after HDMI ready tv's are mainstream, but it has been mentioned that this will not affect games, only films.
The whole PSP wont work via bluetooth or was it wireless(whichever, doesn't matter) will only come in play if you too lazy to use the USB cable that comes with the PSP instead. Oh boy, this is difficult.
Wi-Fi itself isn't gone if you shovel out the money for a ethernet bridge, but you could just use an ethernel cable anyways. I have a 50' cable running through my walls from my wireless router just for my PS2. I have a wireless card for a pc too.
You see, this only affects the people that bitch and do not bother to take the time to ACTUALLY read up on the subject at hand.
Now im gonna direct you to a forum where you will be able to find out all the info that's pretty much been released.

Go learn now, then come back and post.
EDIT: Wont be $800. The 60gb Canadian version is running at $650 bucks and I believe that was after taxes.. i'm not gonna check, you can find it yourself.
