Personally im a big fan of sniping from the tree on ivory tower. You get a sweet view of the top ledge where everyone seems to run to and also you are right there so if you see the rockets spawn you can hop down and grab them and grab the extra rounds before getting back in your tree. Once you are in the tree wtih rockets and a snipe it's impossible to get you down unless someone grabs the BR or the sniper up top. However, nobody should be able to get ahold of the other sniper when it respawns cuz you have a sweet view of that balcony to pick them off and its hard to see you due to the tree.
Also on burial mounds it is possible to get on top of the "rib cage" without the use of the warthog as a step. It's a decent spot but it leaves you extremely vulnerable so i only use it if im pretty confident i can take down the other sniper and keep the others at bay. A lot of the time tho the other team will devote all their energies to getting you down allowing your team to grab the rockets and the other rifle while taking the base which is a solid spot to defend on that map wiht the turrets and such
I've got this sweet thing where i grab the rocket launcher then take it to our base while we're on defense (for CTF or Assault)...next i wait until the carrier or attacker is in the base, then shoot him point blank...everyone on both teams except the bomb carrier dies! talk to sue_13, it's happened twice!
Clever and true. You can also get on top of the base on Burial Mounds using the rocket/nade boost jump. Its a pretty good spot (Although I can't do it yet) because it is in a divet which doesn't leave you vulnerable.
Wow some guy showed me the sweetest hiding spot ever on ascension... i will have to show you guys we could easily win our team slayer games this way tho just get a small lead or something and get 1 person to this spot and everyone else quits all you need is the banshee to get there
Wait...if everyone else quits don't they all lose points even though the team technically wins? And once they quit the other team would just get the banshee and kill him if they knew where he was. I would suggest two people staying. 1 in the spot, 1 in the tallest sniping spot(also accesable w/ the banshee) and keep the banshee/rockets up there.
Well, if the whole team quits, then the one guy gets to the top, we would win (if we had the lead). No one else would be able to get there, since he would have the banshee and it wouldn't respawn. If they launched grenades though, that could be bad..
I'm also assuming you are talking about the spot above the base at the very very top too?
He could just hop in and out every minute or so until the time runs out, just to be safe, although I'm pretty sure it won't respawn unless it is destroyed. The same was with weapons not respawning until the ammo is out, or damn close to it.
Games are only 12 minutes, and by that time, there would only be a few minutes left anyway, and shouldn't be a problem.
If you guys are going to do some team games to try this out send me and invite, I'd like to witness this.
Also did you know you can fly the banshee w/ the flag? I just figured this out recently...although I'm not sure if the setting "operate vehicles w/ flag" has to be on or not. I wouldn't think it would matter since you arn't supposed to fly it w/ the flag one war or another.
no im not talking about the high spot... it's a spot actually below the big tower... you cant even see it if you are flying around the place with the banshee unless you know EXACTLY what you are looking for but its nifty i'll have to show u guys sometime steve knows what im talking about... he put his calender of naked men up down there
