Friends or so-called friends
 

I have a friend who calls me damn near every day and we usually talk about problems she's having and I really dont' mind helping her out. But the thing of it is: all she ever does is switch how she feels about people and always cries and talks about herself. As I said before, I don't mind helping her out. But sometimes I need an outlet and try to go over my problems. But she just gives me "Oh, yeah, that sucks. Now back to my problem". Well, all I ever hear from her at the end of the conversation is "God, JP, you're so great! The best friend I ever had! I don't know what I'd do without you! I love you so much like a brother, etc." Well, if you care so much and appreciate me, why do you cold shoulder me when I have a problem? Hmmm...I wonder why?

Well, the question is: How many of you have a friend or so-called friend just like this?

I listen to all of their problems and they listen to all of mine... when I talk about them that is. Never had this problem.

I ignore people like that.

Problem is: I think she'd commit suicide if I ignored her. It just might be my paranoia, but I don't know. I'd hate to think that people would blame me if she killed herself because her "friend" decided to ignore her because she annoyed him.

Ask her to consider seeing a mental health expert -.-

I've thought about it and I might...not sure. She doesn't show suicidal tendencies per se, but I think she would...

I have no friends like that. All my friends are just like me, we dont give a fuck about eachother problems. My friends couldnt be better.

Kagom you'd be suprised how much it takes for a person to commit suicide, its alot more difficult of a thing to do, then think about. I've been there many times, although I've never pulled a "I'm crying out for help, cutting my wrists" kinda thing. If I was gunna do it I'd run a tub from my exaust into my car. Anyways, even if you did stop talking to her, and she does off herself, you really halve to look past that and realize that she must have been a weak person in heart and mind, if she would kill herself. Not that I know what she's going through but...I've known some people who went through some hardcore stuff. My point is the world wouldn't need her anyways. Theres already enough weak people spunging off of others. Don't let her use you anymore, find someone who will listen to you in return.

Its a bluff. Ya know what you do? Tell her she is a fucking moron and slap some reality into her. Thats what I did with my friend when she was acting like this. Got her to quit doing all the shit she was doing and even though she said she would just go kill herself. I asked her what that would solve and that she was a coward. Just be an asshole to her without really being an asshole.
Or you could just tell her how you feel and stop being a coward... Either way.

Well, I have a few things to mention: 1) She never made the threat or claim, it's just something I think would happen (the chances would be high) (2) I can put a suicide behind me easily, but that doesn't mean her friends would stop harassing me. (3) She is spoiled rotten, though she doesn't realize it. She always talks about how at one time she was oh so poor and had such a bad childhood, and then it's on and on about how she isn't loved, etc. I'd say something, but it'd do no good.

Fuck it then dude. Just kinda stop talking to her and calling her and answering when she calls. Try and aviod her and if she has any common sense she'll get the hint. Although she'll probably ask why are you avoiding me or somthing.
