You're (Un)Remarkable!

Honestly Slaynish, you're underestimating the American population. Finding people who will work hard because it's their JOB is rather difficult, especially in retail or other industries that typically rely on hiring young people with little job experience. The sense of self-entitlement that is being drilled into us daily by advertisement and business transactions only promote this sort of behavior. It doesn't occur to people that they're hired to work hard, they show up to collect a paycheck and to do as little work as possible. (I realise this is slightly hypocritical as I'm posting from work, but I always drop this if I see it impacting my work). :P

Sad but true, while it should be people's responsibility to put their back into their work, so to speak, you'll be hard pressed to find people that are going to do that, so in most cases an incentive is needed.
