Well...the build didn't exactly work too good outside of Augury Rock. I kept running into Scorpions. I really couldn't outrun them, so I fought them either solo or in groups of 2.
In groups of 2, I survived about 50% of the time. Minotaurs in groups of 2 were no problem. Groups of 3 minotaurs (or griffons) killed me outright. I'm using a N/Mes build with: Physical Resistance, Mantra of Resolve, Parasitic Bond, Enfeebling Blood, Archane Echo, Insidious Parasite, Spiteful Spirit, and Energy Tap.

My atts are set up like this:

Curses 14
Inspiration Magic 12
Soul Reaping 6
Death Magic 3

I have 60-point scar-patterns. Head pattern is +3 (superior to Curses) +1 Death Magic, Chest is +8 to Energy, w/ Major Vigor, Arm is Minor Death Magic +6 Energy, Leg is +2 Energy w/ Death Magic Improvement, Feet is +1 Energy / Major Death Magic.

I'm using a staff-- +14 Energy, Dark Magic 10-22, Improves Casting Speed/Skill Recharge 20%. (Yeah, I know it sucks, but it is all that I have).

I have 396 Health and 51 Energy.

Combat goes something like this:

2 Minotaurs Charge--- I already have Physical Resistance Cast---I immediately targe the lead 'taur and cast Parasitic Bond. 'Taur #2 in rushing into position and has attacked me once. I cast Parasitic Bond on 'taur #2. I then cast Enfeebling Blood on the closest 'taur. They both hit me again. I then cast Archane Echo. They both hit me again. I then cast Insidious Parasite (at this point, I'm at about 100 health) the echo brings up #2 of Parasite and I cast it again. At this point..I'm under 100 health but, it begins to rise due to the Parasite. I have about 5 health left so I cast Energy Tap---which gives me about 17 health---enough to cast Spiteful on the closest. Spiteful knocks them down a lot in combination with my staff's 10-22 chaos damage. MOST of the time I have enough time to cast Parasite on one of them again, then either I die, or I kill both of them. In groups of 3...well, I damage all 3 of them to about 50-60% of health and I die. Man...there's got to be something I can do here. I'd love to be able to farm the griffons and minotaurs, but DAMN! Maybe my items just SUCK!

I definitely need to borrow your axe, man. I'm getting slaughtered. Maybe I should go to a wand/focus item or wand/shield? What do you think?

70 armor? How do I get that? I thought that 60 was the highest that you could get?
Every time that you are online it seems.....you're there for like 10 minutes, and you're gone. LOL You need to play longer, man. I could use your help/insight. This is driving me insane, man.

You can get the 70 from places like Droknars Forge and Marhaans Grotto...at least I think it's 70.

Basically the same sets except buying from Droknars can cost as little as 6k altogether if you trade for materials with players, whilst the armour at Marhaans is 15k per piece, and has slight changes in looks. I believe they're the same stats, so there's no real point in Marhaans.

Then again they may have changed everything. I haven't been to Marhaans for over a month.

Where are you up to in the game?

EDIT: 'Tis 70:

http://www.guild-hall.net/craftindex.php

Choose your profession and scroll down to the bottom sets. For example if it's Necromancer scroll to the bottom of Necrotic and Tormentors sets and you'll see they are 70 armour.

EDIT 2: It actually varies with profession. The max for:

- Elementalist = 60
- Mesmer = 60
- Monk = 65
- Necromancer = 70
- Ranger = 70
- Warrior = 80

That's excluding all the little extra items that aren't a full suit. So, bad luck if you're an Ele or Mes...

Then again, the thread is about N/Me build so you're obviously a N/Me.

Ok Skeletor, you need a full set of Necrotic Armor. Its at droks forge and cost 1.5k a piece. Put a minor rune of each skill on it, cept curses, make that superior rune. And also try to get a major vigor rune too, there not that much money.

I bought the stuff. I already had scar tattoo with superior curses on it. Should I just keep that one? Put minors in everything else, except for chest--put major vigor in it.
Should be good to go....guess I've got to get this stuff infused, right? Damn....

Again, thanks for your help and advice, man. Especially for the use of the focus item and axe. Let me know when you need your stuff back, man. I appreciate your willingness to help out a total stranger.

Yea np... and you also dont need to get the armor infused... that only helps vs Mursaat and those types of monsters.
