Name lock is holding down the attack button on a character's name even after the move off screen.

AutoAim does pretty much the same thing, except you never had to have the target on-screen. Actually, I'm sure if you compared the packets that they're likely the same. Maybe I'll check into that later.

no..... doing a manual name lock forces you to stay in 1 position, AA lets u move around and fire off screen thus they arent the same

You can't fire while moving, so it would likely send the same packet, as you have to stand still.

I'm not saying they're exactly the same, I'm saying they likely send the same packet. -.-

FYI: they are indeed and in fact different packets, look at the packet list sometime in the bnet hacking section in the sticky "lost packet list"

I believe the reason you can move with AutoAim is that the mouse isn't being used to lock.

But I forget whether or not you can move with the arrow keys.

Regardless the packet is (or should be) NEARLY the same, there is 1 packet for attacking, I believe.

many people seem to think that AA is very detectable, but in my own experience, the same as botting.
