Best Metal Albums... Or not.

Well, I have three major problems with this list:

1. Motley Crue is above Megadeth- In all due respect to the Crue, in the world of metal, I have to say Megadeth is better. Motley Crue is a badass band, but Megadeth should be above them.

2. Two Metallica Albums- There are two Metallica albums in the top 10. Sorry. Not on your fucking life.

3. Megadeth Behind Metallica- Fuck you 'Tallica.

I think the list is okay but i would have liked to have seen an Inflames album near the top. Metallica and Iron Madien are both great bands that have had awesome albums, but for the purpose of a top countdown i think i would have limited each band to one in the top 10 which is kind of limiting to bands but it would have given more variety
Think not disdainfully of death, but look on it with favor; for even death is one of the things that Nature wills.

If "Master of Puppets" is the best metal album ever, then I'm the reincarnation of Jesus. Not clever, but it's just as true as the shit that site made up.

No drama Grav. Just raw anger and indignation. I'm no metal expert, but I can safely say that MoP is NOT the best metal album ever. Put some Pantera up there.

Your opinon is totally biased considering that you LOVE megadeth.

Fucking stop LOVING megadeth.

The only reason you disagree that metallica has made KICKASS albums is becuase you want to get into Dave Mustaine's pants.

No offense or anything but you are way too obsessed.

Master of Puppets is probably the greatest metal album ever written. End of story.

Indeed. Thank you. I hadn't the slightest clue of how I was being unreasonable. I'll stop now... [/sarcasm]

I won't argue with you... You know tons more than I do about metal. But, know this. "Master of Puppets" features great songs...and the song Master of Puppets used to be my favorite song of all time. i'm done with Metallica. Rot in Hell you bastards.

Quitely possibly true, it was one of my very favorites for the longest time. I don't really much care for them anymore though. I don't even really listen to their older stuff anymore, and certainly not anything new.

I think that St. Anger had a few decent songs, kind of a hybrid of old/new. I was surprised that it didn't suck completely, like every album post-1994...

For mentioning that shit in a thread devoted to good music, you've earned my eternal scorn...in regards to music.

Master of Puppets is the only Metallica album I can still stand to listen to. My reasoning is completely different, though. I loved both Load and Re-Load, so I'm not the guy who hates them just because they changed their sound. The thing is, I had an annoying Mormon friend whose only musical interest was Metallica. He was obsessed, and his fixation on the band ruined my ability to enjoy listening to them. Master is the only album he couldn't ruin for me because it is sheer sonic perfection.

I still do like their album, and most of their old stuff too. It's something I'd listen to in a friend's car, rather than my own, ya know?

Boviously, I don't care much for Load/Reload. It's not that great a sound, and it's not what defined Metallica.

Going mainstream does that to a band. Look at Green Day...
