Fantasy Char vs Other Fantasy Char

I've been googling some debates on dueling characters just for the hell of it.

Who do you think would win in each situation?

Provide explanation if you want: battle walkthrough, strategies, statistical advantages and disadvantages... whatever. I think it'll make it more fun. If you don't know of any particular character, please abstain from those particular duels. Just leave them blank.

I'll just throw out the first 8 badasses I can think of. Besides Gandalf, (who I've seen a lot of argument as to why he's a badass) all of these characters are going to be from FR or Dragonlance.

I think if there's any interest in this, I'll do another set... Probably with RPG characters. Then maybe a superhero set. Then I'll take the top 2 or 3... hell I'm getting ahead of myself. Anyhow, enjoy. I'll come back and do it myself when I get some free time.
