old 0.9 chars still be there?

ok i cant stand not knowing this any longer. when the new patch officialy comes out what will happen to peoples level 99's and old 0.9 chars? will they already have everything that they had completed in the last patch complete in the new patch or will they have to redo everything, or will they just not work alltogether forcing you to create a new 1.10 char? plz some one that REALLY knows for sure what is going to happen plz tell me

What I read somewhere (from diabloII.net) i believe.. characters from 1.09 and 1.10 can't play together, although you can play characters from both versions you won't be allowed to use characters from 1.10 with 1.09.. so it would be like trying to join a hardcore game with a softcore character so you will haev to make a new character to play new 1.10 games..

1.09 characters can play with 1.10 characters in the new patch. However, there will be special ladder characters which cannot play with any other kind, which stay ladder characters until the end of the ladder season, when they then become normal characters.

But end of the ladder season will be atleast 6 month to never come. That's what happen to 1.09 they never bother to end the ladder season and start the ladder again because they know it's going to floor with lvl 99 in days again. If the 1.10 ladder going good by itself, I belive they won't end the season.

They have reset the ladder on 1.09.

Yeah they can.

wait... so... after the ladder season... do the Ladder only items dissapear?

No. The characters that have the ladder-only items are made normal characters. That means the ladder-only items on those characters are available to characters outside the ladder. However, the items will not drop. There will only be as many as the ladder characters bring when it resets.
