Advancement in software tech

I was watching the discovery channel or TLC... same difference.

On the show they explained that the software for gaming and simulating just got way ahead of where i thoguht it would be for a long time. they finally found out how to give a REAL artificial intelligence.. they taught computers how to think for themselves and learn without using long strings of code to program the computer to do things which are based on triggers... for example:

They made snakes but gave them no intelligence but they gave them the ability to learn.. in about a minute or 2 the snakes learned how to slither by first doing trial and error.. first twitching muscles and realise they were moving (not forward yet) just slightly slithering.. then they moved more vigorously until they figured out how to move forward.. they did the same with an ecosystem.. they put alot of fish.. they gave some carnivorous qualities.. some herbivore and some passive and let them loose... what happened was an autonomous ...

From what I've heard it looks like there may possibly be a "real life" show based on humans living and communicating to each other while being completely autonomous... it also seems if they do that the humans would all have different personalities.... i found this amazing thought i should post it

My sig won't show =/

That kicks, maybe veido games single player will have a bit more challenge now, or a margin for mistake.
Playin mario golf for 64 recently, and I can birdy or eagle on every hole, but bowser can still do it and tie GRRR.
They should have to learn.

Sounds nifty, but don't expect that to be incorporated in anything but super-computers and testing for quite some time.

Won't be long before the computers realize humans are stupid and they kill us all.

It's the same story every time.

Either that, or commit suicide since they can't truly experience the world. (SKYNet from Fallout 2)

This is all well and good until the bots learn that the most effective way of defeating you is to camp every spawn point.

Actually the point of having such AI is that it will be programmed to learn and not simply "know". The bots will start as newbs and evolve as necessary. I like it, sounds like the best damn newb-training bots ever.
