FYI, though I assume there's a good chance you already know this, CT didn't start the visible enemy system. I know Lufia, Robotrek, and FF:MQ, as well as some RPGs on Sega had it before CT came out.
I don't think any game has used it as effectively as the two Lufia games, however.

I just used the Chrono games as a prime example because I'm willing to bet that there would be more people reading this review who are more familiar with the Chrono games than Lufia. And you can't really say that FF:MQ used a similar system. Yeah, you could see the enemies, but avoiding 90% of them was absolutely out of the question. They just stood there, blocking your path.

The story reminds me of the Zelda series, which was based on a Hero of Time, like this is based on a Chosen. Different people, but same overall agenda..

Actually ToS has a significantly greater amount of story than a Zelda game. Like I said, there are some pretty cool twists and ideas being implemented into the game, I just don't want to list any of them for fear of accidentally ruining something for you guys. It's a good story, it just doesn't stack up to Final Fantasy.
One word of advice: do not read any other reviews or any walkthroughs for this game that aren't spoiler-free. I've noticed in many reviews and in every walkthrough I've quickly perused that people have a tendency to leak plot information very casually. I don't know why. All I know is that I've aleady accidentally ruined quite a bit of plot for myself by reading other reviews and choosing not to read the spoiler-free walkthroughs.
