It's a bug. Let's say you have a weapon that needs 150 dext. You only have 130 dext. You find an armor with +20 dext. You put it on and now you can wear your weapon. However, becasue you got the needed ecxtra dext with items, the glitch makes it so that other players can't see a weapon there.
