Need help
 
ok this is a problem with all of the rpg makers. When ever i start a game the character always moves and i cant move right. this happens with other peoples games and one i make. can anyone help me with this??

My guess is that one of your arrow keys is stuck, or, if you are using a joypad, that it isn't calibrated correctly.

its not my keyboard. i checked that with other programs...ill try another one in a little bit

maybe theres a bug in the Rpg maker ur using try downloading it again or from somewhere else

ok im now using the rpg maker from my other computer that i know works...I still am saying its not my keyboard. ive used the keys for other games and i dont see why the guy should move right as i start playing..

are u sure u don't have an event which makes him moves and u accedently set it to autostart without an end event

As said, try unplugging any gamepads/joysticks that you may have to see if it's the culprit in this case. Whether or not you're trying to use it doesn't matter - if it's sending inputted commands, the game will accept them and move your character around. Failing that, go into the control panel and uninstall all of your game controllers, and restart - see if it helps.

dont have anything extra plugged in. i unplugged my keyboard and plugged that back in to see if it madea diff and no it didnt. I still dont know why its doing this ><

i have no clue wuts rong with it but try going to control panel and deleting all of ur Rpgmaker then install it again from the website

If you unplug your keyboard while the game is running, does the character stop moving?

try this maybe the RPG maker is more sensitive with keyboard try unplugging yur keyboard and open it up and gently clean it with water or something not alcohol coz that might reck it then when ur done try it again
