Kaneda pointed something nifty out to me, when the standard of heroes is on the ground, it looks exactly the same as the den of evil automap icon thingy. My character isn't level 90 so I can't really test anything with it but maybe it is a clue? I'll attach a picture.

also if you look its the same staff that a shawman uses check it out

Fallen's also carry a torch resembling the hellfire torch. Might just be a coincidence though.
