How do you close threads?

mods can easily do it in there own forum by using the admin rights but if you want one closed you could simply ask a mod/admin to close it

On this vB board, normal users do not have permission to close their own threads.

On others, you just use the thread options pulldown.

Sounds like a mistake to let anyone close threads. People would constantly be giving their own remark and closing the thread, then someone else would open it to post.

And it'd become a big open/close war.

Some moderators can only close threads in their own forums they moderate.

All regular mods can close threads ONLY in their forums.
