Superbadass lucky day

I think today has been my luckiest day of D2, EVER. Everything stated in here is 100% true:

First, I managed to trade off 5 Druid Elemental Charms (2 had minor life mods) for Zod, Vex, and Ohm.

I procured an Ist in a hurry, trading a Zod I had laying around for it (I didn't want to be trading all day) and made my very first Call to Arms. Unfortunately, it sucked (3/2/2). Oddly enough, the game desynched and rolled back, leaving me fresh to make a new one! So, the second time I made a 6/5/2. I was extremely happy.

Next, I managed to find an Ethereal War Pike in a pit run, and managed to trade it for a 6 socket Eth War Spike. I go to put the runes in for BOTD, and I fuck up by putting Eld instead of El. I clear it out, and go off to trade my Ohm for a Vex. Finally, after trading Ohm+Gul for Vex, I managed to make my War Spike. Guess the percent? You got it. 400/15.

The day ain't even over yet. ^_^

LOL this is hilarious, my friend was transfering and lost a bunch of items yesterday cause of the rollback that saved voll's cta.

HandOfHeaven 2004-05-18 01:39 PM

Heheh, shit happens. BUT only good stuff happens to volls.

BornOblivious 2004-05-18 02:06 PM

ive heard the "rollback" thing what is it what does it do......Woot 100th post

WetWired 2004-05-18 02:11 PM

A roll back is when the game state is restored to a previous state. This may be for a single player, a single game, a single server, or realm-wide.

Sovereign 2004-05-18 02:11 PM

The best way i can explain it, is if you make a BOTD in a game, and the game rolls back, it will be as though the botd was never made. Youd have all the runes and the socketed item, as though nothing happened. Its great for remaking CTA's and stuff, when you get shitty stats.

PureRebel 2004-05-18 06:17 PM

FUCK... i traded eld for pul and bought IK Armor.. and the roll back made me go back to having an Eld... F U BNET!

ExT 2004-05-18 06:59 PM

bought IK armor? you mean traded pul for IK armor?

iceman887 2004-05-18 07:15 PM

ExT 2004-05-18 07:19 PM

is there something you do to activate rollback or does it just happen...cause ive never seen it happen or had it happen to me do you have to do soemthing speacil?

`Insolence` 2004-05-19 12:32 PM

If you ever make a dynamic runeword you should ALWAYS use a rollback method, i believe the A B trade method still works (search the bnet hacking forum)

celaron 2004-05-19 01:34 PM

A?B?
you mean the "quit with alt+f4 when other player want to trade" rollback
that one is fixed, it ried it 3 or more times, didnt work

blckshdwdragon 2004-05-19 04:10 PM

it was patched pretty quick the 2/3 week of 1.10 it got patched, considering how bnet is ... lol

ExT 2004-05-19 05:52 PM

Anyways, Volls luck should be considered sorcery and he should be burned!!!
