Mf Is Fake
 

I have over 500+ mf and i am doing hell mephisto Over and over and over again and all i find is yellow items...WTF why am i not finding anything good it says shako and everything can drop on him but for some reason i dont see that happening i mf day after day and find squat mf does nothing for you dont even bother getting any mf to use cause it will do you no good (MY OPINION)

HA! Such a lie, MF increase chances to drop items. And Rares are just as good, if not better than, uniques. I bet you could have 1k mf and still find crap sometimes. I am wondering if you keep doing things over and over you will only get a good drop 1 out of 10 runs because it (Blizzard, the game) doesn't want you to be rich. Oh BTW, mephi does not have the best drop rates, and they have decreased in the patch.

But Mephisto probably will overall drop some of the best items in the game. You shold kill Thresher in act5 because he can drop any item (as sold doofus has told me :D) Or try some pit runs, countess runs, or andy runs. You could even try pindle, ... You need to do meph runs for about 30 minutes straight (about 15 total) before you'll find anything decent.

Goddamn, everyone is constantly beating the dead horse in reference to MF working. I'll put it clearly for you...

First thing that comes to mind=NOOB, 2nd thing that comes to mind is whether or not this NOOB knows that 200-300 mf is the amount that is and always has been perfect for hell meph. Any one in their right mind knows that 500 mf is for the bigger fish like pindle,shenk,eldritch,ect... :rolleyes:

ok well im not a noob i just get tired of everyone finding leet stuff and i sit here mfing all day and find nothing at all out of about 30min of mfing hell meph i found an atlantean and an alibaba thats it. and anything and everything i find people say its worth jack i just dont get it its to hard to trade cause everything is to expensive and its to hard to mf most of the time (for me)

you can try mf with more than 10 runs ...
i had times i found ech 2 days a storm and times i don´t found andy exp items a week

theoreticaly you could use zero mf and still find a wf off pindle or a ss off meph, it's like Volt said, 90% luck and 10% mf.

i concur, mf is more luck than anything because there is no way that my javazon that i was lvling up only with no gear on could flip a rock and find a perfect skullders if it was base on the mf gear you have.

so is mf even worth getting cause using mf gear you arent as storng so should u just stick with zero?

MF% INCREASES your odds of having a Magical/Rare/Set/Unique drop. Yes, you can still find these WITHOUT MF, but it's far less often, ergo, you have to be a lot luckier to find the same items WITHOUT MF than WITH it.

Also, it always seems the higher level you are, you're always luckier... But the main idea is: mf does increase your chances of finding Magical/rare/set and unique items at the cost of the ineffectiveness of the magic find items. The better equiptment you have (not mf), the more enemies you kill (faster rate) causing more chances of decent drops. It might actually even out at some point but that usually has to do more with bots or fiends doing 24 hrs of strait mf runs.

The higher level you are means better items drops. Look at a level 70 blizzard sorc compared to a level 85. Level 85 gets more high level and lower level stuff.
